Grand Cru

Robert Parker om de enkelte vine:
Léoville Poyferré 1996
This fabulous 1996 was tasted three times from bottle, and it is unquestionably the finest wine produced by this estate since their blockbuster 1990.
93 point, Robert M. Parker, Jr. - April 1999
Léoville Poyferré 1995
The 1995 exhibits pain grille, blackcurrant, mineral, and subtle tobacco in its complex yet youthful aromatics. Powerful, dense, concentrated cassis and blueberry flavors might be marginally softer than in the 1996, but there is still plenty of grip and structure to this big wine.
90 point, Robert M. Parker, Jr. - Februar 1998
Léoville Poyferré 1990
Absolutely spectacular, the 1990 Leoville Poyferre is much more evolved than either of its two Leoville neighbors. Fleshy and opulent, it comes across like a St.-Julien with a Pomerol texture and allure. This beauty has reached full maturity where it should remain for another two decades.

Léoville Poyferré 1989
This wine has a dark ruby color, sweet notes of cola, black currants, earth, herbs, and vanilla. The wine is medium-bodied, with some noticeable tough tannin and a lean, angular finish. The wine’s aromatics show far more evolution than the flavors. Nevertheless, this wine pales in comparison with the sensational 1990 and the other vintages of Poyferre from the mid-nineties onward.
88 point, Robert M. Parker, Jr. - Januar 2003
Léoville Poyferré 1983
One of the superstar 1983s that is not beginning to crack up and decline. The wine is round, seductive, with a certain degree of opulence, low acidity, gorgeous fruit, and a nice layered palate impression.
91 point, Robert M. Parker, Jr. - Januar 2003
Léoville Poyferré 1982
There is no question that Leoville Poyferre was not making wines at the level of quality they have since 1990. That said, the 1982 is a great wine, no doubt because of the vintage rather than the winemaking at that time. Although close to full maturity, it has at least 20-25 years of life remaining.
